Just as God has a plan for your life Satan has a plan for your life. Jesus died to void/nullify Satan's plan and his work. With God's help you can overcome Satan's assaults but it must be done with prayer. In this course you will learn how
to "keep" your family safe by standing in the gap/praying for them.
The Bible says, Christians are a chosen people, a royal priesthood and a holy nation. (1 Peter 2:5, 1 Peter 2:9 and Revelation 1:6). God created Christian parents to serve as priests and watchmen over their families. When we take our position and stand in the gap God's Holy Spirit restrains Satan, preventing his evil plans from taking place!
I recall seeing a high school classmate sometime ago. As we chatted I asked about her children and sadness crept across her face. Her youngest son, an all A student, was all set to graduate until an unfortunate chain of events occurred. A relative from Chicago needed a place to stay so she let him stay with her. One night shortly after arrival, he, her youngest son and a friend decided to go to the store. Her son and friend stayed in the car while the cousin went inside to buy a soda, however, he tried to steal something else on the way out. The owner followed the cousin out of the store and the cousin turned around and fatally shot him. The cousin got in the car and took off, police were called and a chase ensued. They apprehended the young men and they all faced criminal charges. Her 17 year old son faced 20 years in prison. Was this God's will? Do you think it could have been prevented by prayer? God promised to lead and direct us on the paths we should go and that includes warnings via dreams, visions, impressions in prayer and the still small voice. All these "leadings" are freely given as gifts, designed to preserve and keep the family safe.
It is Gods will that parents not only train children in the way they should go but to guard and protect them in the way they go with prayer, continually.
Let's learn how to stand in the gap for your family with the mighty weapon of prayer.
